A weekish later:
We’ve cleaned out the tower as best we could, and then boarded it up, tipping warning to the priest. Perhaps not entirely the truth, but I want to know what that Control Station thingy is, and so does the rest. I wonder who else knows?
Soren and Perisanct have approached asking for money. And more, Soren, got my name right in doing it! And has since continued to get it right. I’ve made it clear I will expect my loan returned, from both of them. Them being skilled is advantageous to both parties. And to Soren, I expect him to not be so dismissive. That’s fine enough.

We met with the Company. We have… learned several things. And swore oaths, the likes of which make my pen hesitate to write what follows. We have discovered, by accident, a major point of power in the realm, one of several. And that has led us to a certainly powerful windfall. We have come to an arrangement with the Company, and have found ourselves incorporated after a fashion into their networks. But the oaths are serious. Must ponder our words with care. Our henchmen are not similarly bound, and that’s an issue. We now keep quiet even around them. This is a serious matter that we ponder with care.
Seeker has asked to come with us to investigate the Haunted Tower for himself. And Soren argued for him to help neutralize some other dangers. The journey was brief, and uneventful. We brought some tools to trap the tower against the unaware. The warnings with the priest should keep any forces of Good away, is our hope, and that only an evil force will trip their way in. Dismas had his own surprises in mind, which I shudder to think of the outcome.
Future plans for the Tower were discussed, and while nothing conclusive, we’re somewhat optimistic. If only Richacre wasn’t so far out of the way.
